Breakfast
Start the day with a nutritious and healthy breakfast, even on vacation. No matter how tempting those fresh croissants or chocolate rolls are. Try to stick to the diet you normally eat as much as possible.
Drink lots of water
A glass of wine, beer or a summer cocktail is part of the fun, but don't forget that they contain a lot of calories! Make sure you drink plenty of water during the day. This prevents dehydration, is good for your skin and is important if you want to stay fit and healthy. It's all about balance!
Eat as pure and local as possible
Stay away from the tourist boulevards with pizza and French fries and look for authentic places with pure food. Buy local fresh fruit, delicious as a snack and to satisfy small cravings.
Protein
Make sure you get enough protein! Your muscles need protein. Even if you exercise less during your vacation. Get your protein from chicken, fish and nuts, for example, or take a protein shake.
Keep moving!
Bring your gym gear and stay active during your vacation. Schedule some activities that involve exercise. Hiking, swimming, running, cycling, fitness, surfing, tennis, yoga, you can do all sorts of things with these. And bring a jump rope, it takes up almost no space in your suitcase! Because if there is no gym nearby, you still have to keep moving in other ways.
Enjoy and relax
